Kim: Describe the vibe on Broadway throughout the day? Dre: For me, it's cool sometimes - but it's a lot of hatin'. Niggas be sidetalkin', jaw jacking' - just running they mouth. They hate on me because of the way I carry myself. I don't never think I'm better than nobody. But with me, I just mind my business. My patnas come through and I fuck with them. But for the majority, I don't fuck with nobody down here. You just gotta be by yourself down here. It's a lot you can get caught up in. If you don't have a strong mind, you'll get caught up in the drama they got going on. I don't do drugs. But the people that do hate on me because they see me making money. But a lot of people are just hustlin' sometimes just to make money for their drug habits. But that's not what I do. Dre: And they see you coming up and they want to pull you down. And they try to gang up on you. These niggas got the game fucked up. If it's not no keys and pounds or heroin coming through here, it's not nobody's block. They try to flex on us sometimes, but we hold our own.
Kim: What do you spend your money on? Dre: I spend my money on rent, food - and I give my my son what I can. I use to spend reckless. I use to just blow through money and then be broke. But at the end of the day now, I want my son to be secure. I want to get in the habit of always having money so that I can give him. Kim: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Dre: I see myself as a juvenile probation officer - or a fire fighter. I want my own house, with a career job. But my credit is whack right now, but I'ma square up.
